About the service to be launched on Bonfire Night (5th November 2010).

I am a mediator, formerly working in HMP Bristol under the job title “Restorative Justice Co-ordinator”, and the director of Mediation Support Ltd, which I set up under the name Mediation UK-wide in 2006, after the demise of Mediation UK, in which from 2001-2006 I was the Head of Restorative Justice; a role in which I was invited to 10, Downing St to be personally thanked by the PM for my work on behalf of victims of crime. All individuals I engage to moderate emails and video-messaging between victims and offenders are employed within the criminal justice system and have a deep commitment to people's justice.

I am moving to St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, in 2011, where friends & family live. What 'fired me up' to move there was the Hastings Pier Fire on October 5th 2010. Since then I've put much of my heart and soul into a blog in which I state my mission to be: "That Sussex becomes somewhere where no-one wants to set light to a pier"

I am not yet in contact with the “arsonists” or with those in the criminal justice system who in some way “supervise” them.

Somewhere down the line I hope that the words & voices of the community recorded on the people's justice website will lead to a dialogue with whoever comes forward as a representative of the “arsonists”. It may be that other 18& 19 year olds, or other (ex) “arsonists” offer to talk to the wider community in the first place.

Whatever you would want to ask or tell to each of the arsonists, type it or record it here.

You can remove texts/videos later and/or add new ones. What you have to say will probably change over time.

These messages will remain private to Mediation Support Ltd until representatives of the “arsonists” are available to start replying to individual messages. By uploading a message you give Mediation Support Ltd discretion as to who to show it to in order to progress a one-to-one communication on this website between you and each of them.

If someone else comes forward instead of them, you will be notified and asked if you wish your communication to be been by them.
